Ice Cream Weather

Today is sure to be the perfect outside Ice Cream Day!
Sunny days have been sparse here with our trying to catch up on missing rain. It wasn't even 11am and we were outside eating ice cream. The kids are ready for summer and so is mommy. Julia gets out June the 5th and that day will not come soon enough. Hope everyone out there is enjoying this beautiful day....Remember love you mother tomorrow!

The poison Ivy Blues

My little explorer Julia, has found poison ivy at her school. She says it grows up over a fence and now it is all over her face, neck, around her eyes, behind her knees, all over her tummy, Let's just say it's everywhere. I wouldn't take a picture and send you that b/c it is pretty gnarly. We have gone to the doctor and she is on a steroid that will soon clear it all up. She messed up her perfect attendance and now I have kept her out for two days.
We have all been enjoying her birthday present soooo much. Me the most I would say....They stay outside now when they go, instead of in and out the entire time. I love it and so do they.

These two love being together!

Things here at our new home are going well, we are still trying to make it our own and I guess it is going to just take time and of course money.
We love it and it will come soon enough.

If you can see Liam's finger you can tell he has a dressing on it. Last night while having dinner he proceeded to lacerate his pointer finger while I was cleaning the fingerprint stained door. So he comes running to me wailing and I immediately put a papertowel over it and throw him in the car with him holding it over his head applying pressure. I then grab the girls and put them in. He is still crying and I am trying to calm him down and talk to him about what will happen to him at the hospital. By the way he has only swimming trunks on, Aynsley has a red monkey bikini on and Julia has on a night gown with no underwear. Wow! none have shoes and we looked a mess. Who cares I am getting him to the ER as soon as possible. We get there and I am trying to carry all of them b/c they don't have shoes on and people are asking me if I need help with them and that I have my hands full. I of course being Super Mom decline. (knowing I could use the help) As we are checking in Aynsley poops in her diaper and I didn't bring the diaper bag because I was carrying all three children. Well the nurse gets socks for all and Liam a open dress to cover him and it's off to the waiting room. They bring me a diaper that is one size to small but Hey it worked. Then some crayons and paper. All the while everyone is fussing over all of us saying how adorable my family is. I am serious we looked like heck and they are all loving all over them. My funny little charmers. At any rate it ended after three hours, with three stitches and five stickers later. We made it home and everyone went to bed great. I am thankful that my boy says he will never play with knives again, we put them on top of the fridge just to be safe.
Whew!!!

Julia's 6th Birthday Extravaganza

  1. Today was Julia's Birthday Party. It was planned to be an outside party filled with running, playing games, and jumping on the trampoline. As it turns out yesterday would have been the day to have it. It was what they call a soaker rain today.....Yep, we ended up having it inside with all the kids running wild through the entire house. Crazy but fun. There were about 22 kids and all the adults stayed too.

We had spin art
for them to do when they first got here,

  1. then over to face painting and finished
  2. it off with a pinata.
  3. They were all ready for cake and ice cream after that and then before you knew it, it was over. Whew! Now we have our friends (the Delong's) over and just playing with all the new toys. Julia had a great time and I think on the whole her 6th birthday was a great success. She had a pony ride in her back yard on her true birthday, went to build a bear and made a sweet bunny she calls "Giggles" and had all of her closest friends over for what turned out to be a perfect inside party.
I don't know if I will do as well as my friend Rachel keeping this up but I will try
